13 Principles of happiness

Posted in Life at 1:54 pm by malloucius

1. I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you.

2. No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won’t make you cry.

3. Just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to, doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

4. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

5. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can’t have them.

6. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.

7. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

8. Don’t waste your time on a man/woman, who isn’t willing to waste their time on you.

9. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.

10. Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened.

11. There’s always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.

12. Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.

13. Don’t try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to.

REMEMBER: WHATEVER HAPPENS, HAPPENS FOR A REASON.

Being happy is the priority of living,
If you wanna be sad,
Be sad for something that worth it.

Posted in Life at 10:58 pm by malloucius

I gave up on F, I’ll let her be. There’s no way in hell, we’d be together. I know, by now anyone with IQ higher than 50 already figured out who’s F is, espcially them. There’s not much to write today, I’ve done my appointment and reached home at 4 pm. Everything went smooth, except for the fact that, I’m darn tired now.

Oil market - Continued increase in crude oil prices

Posted in Economics at 2:21 am by malloucius

Continued increase in crude oil prices

The average Brent Blend spot price in 2007 was USD 72.96/bbl - 12.7 per cent higher than last year. Since 2003 the average Brent Blend has increased by 152 per cent.

After an unusual mild start of the winter the crude oil prices dropped to USD 48.99/bbl in January. From then onwards the prices increased during the whole year, only disrupted by a temporary decline in August due to fear of recession and following decrease in oil demand in the wake of subprime motgage problems in USA. The average Brent Blend reached its highest level at USD 96.56/bbl on 28 December.

Brent Blend

The average Brent Blend spot price in 2007 was USD 72.96/bbl against USD 64.72/bbl in 2006.

From 30 December to 12 January the Brent Blend price decreased from USD 58.50/bbl to USD 48.99/bbl mainly due to an unusual mild start of the winter in USA and Europe and higher than expected supplies from OPEC. In addition, index funds and other investors decreased their exposure in oil. When most funds use to readjust their positions at the start of each year, its not surprising that sharp price effects occurs.

From 18 January to 5 February the Brent Blend price increased by USD 8.08/bbl to USD 58.98/bbl, mainly due to unusual cold weather in USA and Europe. George Bush proclaimed in his State of the Union address that US Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR) should be doubled in size during the next 25 years. This implied a tighter crude oil market due to the prospective additional oil demand from the US government. In addition the focus of the State of the Union Address on energy security appeared to be interpreted by the market as a sign of increased geopolitical risk.

Increasing tension in the Middle East also contributed to the rise in crude prices.

From 5 February to 22 March the Brent Blend price remained relatively stable around USD 60/bbl. Remaining cold weather in USA, crude outage in Alaska and Nigeria and several downstream outages in USA contributed to upward pressure in the market. On the other hand did unusual mild weather in Asia and Europe and increased supplies from Iraq and Angola contribute to downward pressure in the crude oil prices.

From 21 March to 6 April the Brent Blend price increased from USD 60.62/bbl to USD 71.20/bbl.

A flare-up of geopolitical tension concerning Iran contributed to the rising prices. Against a background of new, tighter UN Security Council sanctions passed in late March, and both US and Iranian naval exercises in the gulf, the Iranian detention of 15 British navy personnel increased the worries for a military confrontation in the gulf.

The Brent Blend averaged at USD 57.91/bbl in the 1s t quarter of 2007.

After 6 April the Brent Blend crude oil price fell moderately and was traded in the USD 55-60/bbl range during rest of the month. The immediate risk of a military confrontation between USA and Iran decreased with the release of the UK navy personnel on 5 April.

Brent Blend crude oil prices fell below the lower end of the range in the beginning of May, before rising sharply towards the end of the month. On 24 May the Brent Blend was traded at USD 72.70/bbl.

The increase was mainly driven by strong gasoline prices and refinery problems. Outages on a string of US refinery along with an unusual strong gasoline demand contributed to very low gasoline stocks in USA. The shut down refineries were replaced by less sophisticated refineries which needed to run more crude for each unity gasoline they produced. This resulted in growing crude oil demand and thus elevated oil prices. In addition, the high prices were supported by sustained supply constraint in Nigeria and geopolitical worries surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme.

In June the oil prices trended sideways and the Brent Blend crude oil price was traded around USD 70.00/bbl. Sustained refinery- problems in USA kept gasoline stocks low at the same time as the American driving season increased the gasoline demand further. The tight gasoline market was transmitted to the crude market which gave support to the high oil prices.

The Brent Blend averaged at USD 68.95/bbl in 2n d quarter.

From 28 June to 19 July the Brent Blend price increased from USD 73.00/bbl to record high USD 79.41/bbl mainly due to disruptions to crude oil supplies. In addition, unrest in Nigeria and Iranian nuclear issues continued to concern the oil market.

From 1 August to 22 August the Brent Blend price decreased by USD 10/bbl to USD 68.22/bbl.

The sharply decline was mainly due to market concerns over the economic impact of the weakness in the subprime mortgage market in USA.

In late August the Brent Blend took a turnaround and increased sharply during September and reached another record high of USD 79.51/bbl on 14 September. The increase was due to lower than expected oil stocks and intensified seasonal hurricane fear.

The average Brent Blend price in 3r d quarter came to USD 75.44/bbl.

The crude prices continued to make strong gains in 4t h quarter and reached USD 96.56/bbl on 28 December. Further significant draws in crude oil stocks, disruptions to crude oil supplies from important production countries and elevated oil demand contributed to the rising oil prices in 4t h quarter.

The Brent Blend averaged at USD 88.95/bbl in 4t h quarter.

Global production of crude oil

According to the International Energy Association (IEA) Monthly Oil Market Report, the global production of crude oil came to 85.6 million barrels in 2007. This is an increase of 0.2 million barrels a day compared with the crude production in 2006.

The total non-OPEC production in 2008 is estimated at 50.6 million barrels a day by the IEA. This is an increase of 0.5 million barrels a day compared with the actual non-OPEC production in 2007.

Global demand for crude oil

According to the IEA Monthly Oil Market Report, the global demand for crude oil came to 85.8 million barrels a day in 2007. This is an increase of 0.9 million barrels a day compared with the crude demand in 2006.

The global crude oil demand in 2008 is estimated at 87.5 million barrels a day by the IEA.

Subsidised Oil and rebates

Posted in Economics at 12:39 pm by malloucius

The government has chosen to reduce the subsidy of oil, this is wise due to the increase in crude oil price. However, the reduction of subsidised oil should be replace with investment and funding on areas that help to develop efficient transportation, productivity, and economic development. It was unwise to give rebates during this time.

Oil subsidy (-) –> Cost (+) –> Market Price (+) –> Demand (-)

thus,

Money (-) –> Demand (-)

but with rebates or other forms of increase in salary, or payment.

Money (+) –> Demand (+) –> Oil subsidy (-) –> Cost (+) –> Market Price (+++)

Steps to curb inflation,

1. Stop monopoly

2. Increase supply

3. Ordinance

4. Improve efficiency of all sectors

this is not complete and it was my own view on the subject, as usual I wont elaborate 100% due to some factors.

EDIT : Take note that this is malaysian economic environment, it’s not the U.S

Scream with me

Posted in Musics at 10:28 pm by malloucius

I got a plan for you and I
Let’s journey across the Venetian skies.
Can i have some of your cookies, can I have some of your pie
May I cut the first slice, so won’t you

[Chorus:]
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right

Intoxicated with desire,
And you’re the designated driver, yeah
I’m not afraid, ’cause I’m a rider, yeah
Ain’t nothing wrong with feeling right, so won’t you

[Chorus:]
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (Scream)
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (Oh)
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (You make me scream)
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right

I love it babe, got me here doing things I`d never do
Can hold me downs, why I’m here making sure, things are up for you (get it)
Like a getaway , for the lights go off, you turn on
I love this place, cause I can hear the echo when you make me ah

[Chorus:]
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (If your feeling good)
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (Let me know)
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (Scream)
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (Show me it feels good)

In the car, at the party
Got his hands, On your body
Don’t fight it, Ooh
If you like it, Ooh

In your room, on the rooftop
Feels good, don’t stop
Don’t fight it, Ooh (Don’t you fight it)
If you like it, Ooh (Why don’t you)

[Chorus:]
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (Scream)
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (Scream)
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right ()
Scream, at the top of your lungs, everybody’s feeling right (Uh, Sing it)

If you love me girl
Why don’t you
If it feels good why don’t you (sing it)
Uh, if you love me girl, why don’t you just
Cause when it feels good it (don’t fight it)
If you like it

Yeah,
Don’t fight it, ooh
Yeah,
If you like it, ooh

Don’t you like that
It feels so good,don?t it?
Grab my hand baby
Take a walk on the beach, clear your minds

Hold your string here
Don’t you like that beat
You do?
What else you like?
Hmm

I can accommodate that
Oh you like my swagger?
You like how I changed it up?
I like it too baby
But for now,

Hey the beat is going a little bit too long

Oh you like it this long? Hmm
That means you like to make love long?
Yeah, I feel that
Ooh.

I like how you shaking your hips to it
It’s about to end baby, but don’t you stop
Keep it going
Keep it going
Keep it going
Bring it over here
Sit on my lap
Kiss me
No no no, right here
Yeah
Oh i like that
Ooh i like that
Ooh

I’mma stop bullshitting, ha ha.

My life now

Posted in Life at 2:39 pm by malloucius

I’m getting much better now, even my doctor was amazed at how fast I recover. It’s already been 22 days since my operation, and a month of suffering. Those days were painful, but they taught me lots of lesson that I never would have learn in my entire life. However, Despite getting better, I still don’t have much time to write nowadays, due to trying to regain friends that I’ve neglected during the painful period.

Doctor : I’m happy that you’re getting much better now, eat anything you want. But don’t eat excessively. Your recovery is indeed fast.

Me : thanks doctor.

P/S: thanks to friends who pray for me during my bad day, may the lord shine your life.
